You should consult your GP or other relevant medical practitioners if you have any medical condition(s), are taking medication, or if you are pregnant, before partaking in any form of deep breathing exercise. We strongly advise you NOT to participate in particularly deep breathing exercises if you have asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, obesity, or a heart condition.
Instead, here are some alternatives you can do:
-
Always practice deep breathing exercises in a seated or slightly elevated position
-
Do not take part in any of the breath-hold exercises, instead, continue to breathe lightly in and out of the nose during these sections of the practice.
If you experience any discomfort or pain during a MindLabs class please immediately stop and seek medical advice before resuming the practice.
